Hi All
The Forum consensus seems to be that the best natural finish is to be obtained with Danish Oil.
Searching the Internet, it seems that two types are imported here, Rustin's and Watco Danish Oil. At rip-off prices.(as usual)
Question: Where in this fair country of ours does one purchase this at a fair price?
Everywhere I ask locally, I get vacant stares.
If anyone knows, please help. Any sources in P.E.?
If not Danish Oil, what about Tung, Teak or Linseed oil availability? Would Woodoc do the job?
Regards Jacques

hi..any wood oil will do,teak..danish..linseed..but when first applied you must thin with white spirit 50%-50% for the first coat so it penetrates the wood, then 75% oil-25% spirit and the final coat neat oil..apply the oil with a brush and allow to soak in just for about 30 seconds and then with a lint free cloth wipe it over until it is dry..if you allow the oil to dry out without ragging off it will look bad so just rag it off(like you are drying off a car with a leather)...paul cheers benny
