Liking the base texture,very realistic.

Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day will cease to be

Meet the cast,

Moving onto figure painting now so time to meet the cast.

Just a reminder i am recreating the moment in the book and film where our group of fleeing ambulance crew get to an oasis just before British solders in disguise 'sugar' the fuel.

Introducing British Officer at oasis.

Introducing Sister Diana Murdoch (now be carful what you say this is actually Pamela Churchill, Winston's daughter in law)

Introducing Hauptmann Otto Lutz, aka Captain van der Poel

Introducing M.S.M. Tom Pugh

...and final introducing Captain Anson

and just for good measure a group shot.

Very nice indeed Jase. Your choice of figures for the cast looks to be very close to the real actors and the initial skin tones on Captain Anson look to be perfect for a sun-baked desert traveller - very well done!?

Looking good mate, can't wait to see more.

Looking good Jase.

I understand there is a bit of an art to figure painting, building up so many different layers, look forward to following your progress with them.

Thanks all, fairly happy with the figures now other than one of them keeps letting his head drop off, will have to pin it!

Cheers

Starting to lathe base colours down on the figures.

I am using Vallejo paint. All the figures except the nurse have been given a base flesh tone of Brown Sand (70.876) the nurse was given a lighter shade Beige Red (70.804). Uniforms have a base cote of Iraqui Sand (70.819)

Close up it looks a bit patchy but this is just base colour and lots of layers to go yet.
