I have built the 2 winglets but when I offer them up to the side pods they seem to be leaning inwards. I can move them so they sit level but then they don't sit properly in the side pod recesses. Has any one else come across this? I have looked to see if I have assembled them wrong but they seem good and both sides are equally out. Hi Steve Can you provide a picture of the area with the winglets you are referring too so I can ascertain if there is a problem or not. Spencer

These 2 pics show how the winglet sits when it's mounted properly in the recess. And these 2 pics show that if I hold the winglet straight then I have to tilt it out and it doesn't sit correct in the recess. Hi Steve I suggest you put those on at the end of the build because until you have completed the cowling then you won't be able to see how they fit correctly. No one has had a problem with this accept you and dry fitting them on a cowling part that needs to conform to the rest of the car once you have fully assembled it in its entirety, only then will you see that the winglets will sit correctly. I am almost up to this stage and I agree with Warthog.I think part of the issue may be the slope of the cowl means it is hard to judge if the winglet will be horizontal until the cowl is in place.I will play around with it tonight and see what I find out.

So I played around with the winglets last night. The instructions say the winglets should be parallel with the table that the cowl sits on.I found that hard to asses since the winglets are not flat-they curve up.So I put them in the slots so they fit well and then mounted the cowl onto the car and they do look OK to me.I found you have to spread the ends of the cowling out a bit to get it to fit on top of the side panels and this changes the shape of the cowl a bit and leads to the winglets being parallel to the ground.
