Hi, Guys. Can anyone who has purchased one confirm the finish of the frame of the display case for the D51?
Is it brown to match the base as shown in some photo's or black as shown on arpurchase's build?

Mine are blackish-brown really. Mostly black, lots of brown mixed in. They look like they can be easily re-lacquered to any required darkish colour.

Although it looks black it is really a very dark brown and although not as light as the base colour they do set each other off well.

Thanks for those answers guys. I am in two minds as to whether to get the supplied case or make my own with brass self adhesive lead and glass.
