Hello Admin, I have just collected issues 38/39 from my local newsagent and would bring to your attention the following:- Out of the 20 planks supplied with issue 38 10 of the planks are of such poor quality that they cannot be used other than for packing/reinforcing. The planks in question vary in thickness from 2mm at the ends to less than 1mm in the centre. Three have not been anywhere near a finishing machine as they appear to be rough sawn and thicker than the rest. All previous planking has been OK with the exception of one or two pieces which is acceptable Please have a word with your man in China re quality control as at this stage of the build poor materials would be the last straw. As I have not wasted more than six or seven planks due to the bending process not going to plan can you advise if I will have suficient planking to complete the build or should I purchase additional supplies. Regards CMB

As I'm not using a lot of my 5mm stock and am pretty pleased with the quality of the wood, if you find yourself getting low please let me know and I'll bung some in the post to you.
But hopefully you will have enough, I did find 1 or 2 bad planks, as I said I have plenty to spare, saves all the mucking about with another issue or 2.

I am on Issue 34 and have almost finished planking the hull. from Tomicks build showing us what's coming in the next issues there should be more than enough. Same with the gun port framing. I have completed one side and have also completed all 12mm parts on the other side as well. I would assume that they will supply the same amount of framing for both sides so it looks like there will be plenty of timber to complete all aspects of the build. You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
