Just a thought, but pictures seem to show that the grill on finished car is black.
Seeing as how the grill badge and fog lights have been fitted into it, painting it now might be a-bit awkward??
What do folk think?

The grill certainly looks black on many of the images but I doubt that there will be a later instruction to paint it. Basically, it's your build so if you like the black grill then Id say get it sprayed now before the assembly goes any further  Steve

I've been contemplating painting the grill black myself but unsure yet as I quite like it as it is in silver. As Steve says if you're going to paint it then best do it now while it's easy to remove

I wasn't even contemplating painting anything on this model except maybe the air filter, but now that I see this photo, painting the grill black looks pretty sweet.

Grill painted black. I'm pretty happy with how it looks now.  Another view  Also, a couple of shots of my cylinder head. I've tried to bring out some of the detail by applying a dark wash to some of it

Nice work on the grille color change and using a wash on the engine intake and air cleaner; what material was used for the engine?

the wash was just Winston oil colour - Lamp black, thinned down with turps and applied by brush.
I let it partly-dry then rubbed off the excess.
I'm not sure how 'gritty' and 'realistic' I'm gonna go for yet.
Think I'll wait to see the level of detail for the rest of the model.
