Well blow me I've actually started on my build, admittedly it's just the launch to begin with.

The paints are on their way from DeAg's shop so I will be painting the launch as I go in the manner that the partwork suggests.

Once the launch is complete and I've made the slipway jig for the main build I will get on with the big ship.

Updates will appear here on a sporadic basis.

Progress (and I'm using that word extremely loosely Flapper ).

I've got the frames for the launch put together and 1 plank on either side. That's where things are stalled due to club layout commitments at Dartford model railway exhibition and Modelworld in brighton (if anyone from here is going to Modelworld I'm on the "OAKLEY" N gauge layout, look me up and say hi), also I have commitments on the club's Miniature Railway permanent way construction, and somewhere in all this I have my business to run Blink .

The dockyard is closed for the moment, but after my birthday at the end of March it will re-open due to the fact that SWMBO is going to buy me a plank bender as my pressie.

Once the paints (that are on their way) have arrived I'll be opening the armoury and starting weapons construction.

Plans have changed again,

the paints are on hold (for some reason my card payment never went through so obviously they didn't arrive), and the plank bender is on order.

In the meantime space has appeared on the work-bench (my desk) and I've made a jig for the build. The internal keel has been put together and is now in the jig whilst I get on with making the ribs.

Some further pics showing progress to date, which admittedly is very little due to a back-log of railway modelling on the workbench that needs clearing.
