Can't really decide whether it's awesome or an abomination...
One thing is certain - there's one less 2000GT in the world so they will became even more valuable.

Seems to be an odd one to electrify and wonder what its market value now is?

It seems the original owner had five of these knocking about and donated this one for the projectBigGrin It's 0-60 has improved over the the original tooLaugh

Id like to see a vid with sound to see if the HALOsonic system recreates the original sound of the engine too!

There's more:

http://www.wired.com/201...ct-solar-toyota-2000gt/ - apparently the HALOsonic system can play recordings of a revving engine, accelerating airplane, rocket on liftoff or galloping horse.

Can you imagine being overtaken by something emitting the sounds of a horse?

Also this one bit: "Amazingly, there's no plug on this EV. The only way to charge it is through the solar panel on the hood, a process that takes up to two weeks."

There's also a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5euR7Q-igz8

And the original project website (not much there): http://crazycarproject.jp/

And their Facebook page (plus some other projects of the same team): https://www.facebook.com/crazycarproject

Crazy indeed.
But it appears they saved the 2000GT from rusting away in the storage. So it's not as bad fate for her as I thought...
