BigGrin Hi All

This will be where I build this kit. Its best to break the kit into sections starting with the lower hull and suspension.

Starting with the lower hull the casting block was removed from the rear then the upper return roller triangular mounts were cut out and fitted to both sides of the hull. On early kits the front two return rollers were the wrong way round a double roller at the front and a single behind this has now been corrected in my kit.

Lastly tonight the front final drive housings were removed from the casting block and glued to the hull. More soon.

BigGrin Hi All

The first thing done today was to clean up the suspension parts springs arms and compensaters. The instructions say that the gap between the hull and the main wheel arms is 1 mm so I used a piece of plasticard to set the gap as the arms were glued on. Next the upper hull had the casting block at the rear removed and the drivers hatch and side intake added after cleaning the upper hull up. The two rear fuel tanks and the rear door were the next parts to be cut from there casting blocks and cleaned up ready for fitting.

The lower and upper hulls were now glued together and left until the glue cured. Once the glue was cured the fuel tanks and rear door were added and faired into the shape of the floor of the lower hull. Lastly a small amout of filler was used at the front and rear to tidy things up and will be rubbed down tomorrow. Still some detail to be added before the 1st coat of undercoat. More soon.

Regards

The rear area has now had all the resin bits added like fuel tanks, storage baskets, rear fenders, hooks, rear door cap, door handles and rear wheel mounts. Also added were more etch parts along with wire handle, chain. BigGrin Hi All

More progress on the hull the grills and covers for the street fighting or LIC version have been added the largest grill had to have its surround made from wire and plastic strip. Apart from the wheels and side armour this finishes the lower hull so a light 1st coat of IDF Israeli sand surface primer. More soon.
