I've been looking at a few online model suppliers, and saw a couple of submarine kits, which reminded me of something that I saw a few months ago.
My family and I were at a local lake and saw someone with a radio control handset thing, we looked over the lake to see his boat but could not see anything, then had a look in the sky, still nothing. One of my kids asked the man what he was doing, to which he replied "Sailing my submarine". I must admit I have never done any RC stuff before, and I don't want to upset any submarine owners here, but it looked one of the most boring things I have ever seen, and as we never saw the submarine, we decided that all you need is some rc gear, and you can have hours of fun telling people you can't see my boat as its under the water, or you can't see my plane as its a stealth bomber.BigGrin

I heard that cameras are now being fitted to some model aircraft, they are then controlled by point of view, which apparantly is not really allowed as the aircraft are flown beyond line of sight, there are supposed to be some clips on youtube, obviously if they are out of sight then control could be lost hence the reason it's not really allowed, but I'm no RC expert, just what I was told

Thunder Tiger have a model Sub which has an onboard camera that transmits a signal to a 2"x2" TV screen on the R/C handset, great if the sub is in clear water such as a swimming pool, but hopeless if the sub is in the murky depth's of a pond.

I used to fit a camera to one of my rc planes, used one of the chanels to snap overhead pics of surrounding area, bit of a gimmick though, had to develop later,no digital camera's in those day.
