Hi all

I decided to make the radiator a little more authentic.

Thanks Trev

More to follow!

Probably slow down a bit now, back to work. Had a good few long days
with the model so will get back to it ASAP.

Regards.

Hi Max

The Lancaster looks good but I have already decided never to build a model other than plastic kits from now on.

The construction type of this Spitfire, metal and wood, whilst it hasn't been horrendous to build, isn't really for me, however I am absolutely loving the look of it 100% now the build is nearing completion.

So I'll continue to wait for the HK Models Lancaster-hopefully soon-always preferred large scale models.

Have you got any photos of your Lancaster?

Cheers Max

Alan

PS Done the elevators, needed to cut the port side down about the same as yours but the starboard side was ok!

Nice bit of enhancement on the Rad.

Don't forget that the Mk.Vb Spitfire only had one Radiator which was beneath the Starboard wing.

I agree Alan, the HK Models 1:32 Lancaster is definitely on my 'want list' and something which I really want to build, though likely I'll wait to see what aftermarket parts are needed or available first?

Should build into an awesome model - one of those once in a lifetime builds!!

Hello all.

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated.

Mr T, I will be sending the spare radiator back along with the remainder of
other packs of which, parts I didn't need, due to missing or damaged items in the original packs.

Kev-looking forward to seeing the Lancaster proudly sitting next to my Spitfire!

Regards to all

Alan

Little point in returning left overs/spares as the warehouse does not re-use them, they are simply scrapped.

Alan

And your efforts have paid off because its looking great.

Way beyond my skills with all that metal forming so have been watching the build diaries on this one with great interest because there is some very skilled work being done by all.

Well done.

Thanks Tony, very kind of you to say.

I cannot wait to get the markings applied. And I still have a little something planned for the end of the build-secret for now-I want to make sure it will have a visual impact-intrigued?-watch this space!

Regards.
