when sanding the hull buy some sanding paper that comes in a roll or at DECORA they sell it in 1 metre strips its 4" or 110mm wide, roll a length,1 metre in to a 3", 75mm out side diameter tube perfict for sanding the back end and will take up the counters of the hull slight pressure applyed when sanding ,donot glue itlet the tube take its own shape

Hi, another tip is to use emery boards they come in all different grades (I tend to use 80/120) and being flexible they’re ideal for following the contour of a hull etc, they can also be easily shaped with a knife for those smaller areas.

Similar to the one above - if the job requires a sturdier sanding block then “good old” lolly-pop sticks work a treat! just stick what every grade of sand-paper you want to use with some double-sided sticky tape, again they’re easy to shape with a knife and for those of you that use lathes to taper yards etc - they come in very handy!!!!!
