The basic colours of the camo are now done, all hand painted including the black out line. It is based on the picture as much as I could and the rest from C Company general painted camo. I could have masked it all and air brushed, but it would have looked too clinical and neat and I don't really think that is how it would have been done in the middle of the Somme or out of the factory, speed was of the essence to get them into battle. Next up will be some detailing on the wheels and the track runs, hand paint the recognition numbers and then fit the tracks before a coat of Klear over the whole thing before the weathering. Heavy weathering is the order of the day, streaking and rust with lots of mud, and more mud, oh and maybe some mud!!Nemesis attached the following image(s):

The Camo looks really good to me.
I think you made the right choice by painting it by hand, the rough hand painted look certainly adds to it, can't wait to see it get dirty.

A nice start on the hand painted camouflage Daran and knowing your weathering skills, I fully expect this to be awesome when finished!
Keep up the good work mate, looking good!!

Thank you all for looking in and the comments, jase that was really cool!
Next installment, painting is finished including the id number. Tracks are fitted and then the whole tank got a coat of Klear. Next was a light earth wash to blend all the colours. Once that was dry a dark brown pin wash to pick out all the rivets and panel lines and to give some streaks. I make my own washes. Once this was dry the tracks got dry brushed with gun metal. The next step is chips, scratches and rust, rain streaks and dust, before adding lots of mud!Nemesis attached the following image(s):
