Does anybody know where the waterline will be on this model, ideally beneath the lower gundeck as I would like to weight this so that in water it floats at the right height.
Present Build:

H.M.S. Victory
H.M. Bark Endeavour

I personally i wouldnt want to put this model in the water, as it is almost impossible to make it watertite as you have no access to the inside of hull if you built the model following the instructions. Also you would find it very difficult to make it stable for the same reason, because you couldnt get to the balast in the bottom.

Hi there Kirill,
I have not built as per the instructions and the bottom planks are still off awaiting ballast to be fitted if I decide to go ahead and do it.
I will be painting the boat and sealing all joints because when its finished I am going to float the boat along with the other one I am building and as I have no room to display them I may just shot at them anyway

if the bottom planks are still of how are you going to float her to get the right amount of ballast in her and if interested in sealing the hull i did a planked fishing boat this way bored holes through decks fitted small tubes to the bottom and poured in fiberglass resin and swilled it around the in side to coat the whole area

I have considered drilling holes through the decks to pour in ballast, hence trying to find out where the waterline should be
