Craig made that programme! Shame he isn't doing this series.

I hope they bring back the assault course that was dropped in the later seasons. That was my favorite bit when they had to run through the obstacles and dodge the house robots.

Despite no return of the assault course I did enjoy the first episode on Sunday.

There was a good mix of silly and skilled entries.

The rules must of changed because one robot had additional baby robots. It was funny to see these getting flung around by the bigger robots.

I don't think it has the hyped ambiance that Craig Charles generated and I would have a thought they might have introuced a new house robot or two. Not bad watching and a darn sight better watching than seeing Chris Evans playing Top Gear.

Top gear didn't exactly set the bar high though lol. I will watch the whole robot wars series I reckon. Its like I am watching it from a different perspective this time round. I am more interested in the pit bits where I used to find those boring as a kid.

Literally the only TV I watch is formula 1 so it's nice to have something else.

I have it recorded but not seen it yet, so glad the reviews are pretty good so far. Can't believe they never asked Craig Charles who, I believe was def up for it if asked.

I thought last night's episode was pretty good.

What I don't like though is the awkwardness that comes from robots that either don't seem to do anything or just don't work properly.

It's almost as if some sort of qualifying is needed as there were some really dull rounds again.

Looks like I may be part of a team of designers and fabricators at work that are going to try and enter, this could be fun.

Yeah, that was so cool to see the Apollo robot go on the attack and pick a fight with BOTH house robots, which were much bigger than itself AND winning - flipping brilliant!! HaHa!!

I'm thoroughly enjoying the new series of Robot Wars.
