Thanks for looking in peeps!BigGrin
Well I have more or less finished the engine, a hose needs doing with the straps and a winch cable, then dust and mud to apply, but that will be done along with the howitzer as its a bit of a messy job!LOL Next up, Joe gets his face and weathered and then the howitzer gets a coat of German grey!BigGrin

fantastic and an unusual take on a standard kit.

Looking forward to seeing it combined with the artillery piece.

I had to do something with Joe, having a headless body hanging around the workspace was un-nerving!LOL So the basic painting is done and a coat of Klear which makes the facial details easier to do, if they go wrong, wipe off and start again!BigGrin Then I gave him a cigarette and a piece rag, and now Joe seems quite happy!LOL BigGrin

The time has come to add some paint to the howitzer.BigGrin Started with the pre shade of charcoal grey, that was followed with a dark base grey, which is more of a blue, then light grey base followed with a light grey highlight. This will dry for 24 hours and then a coat of clear to seal it so that I can handle it for the detailing and weathering. Joe was hanging around supervising!LOL BigGrin

Really loving this build Daran, a great subject and I think you've made a fantastic job of everything. I reckon it's your best ever, just pipping your 1:16 T-34 tank which was my favourite and I thought would be hard to beat, but this one is definitely a notch higher - very well done mate!! Drool Cool ThumpUp

Love the oily steamed look you've achieved with the boiler on your engine and Joe looks fantastic - top job. ThumpUp
