Anchor. Did not use thread supplied to wrap around, did not appear to be enough, i used thread from an airfix build i did previously.
Not going to do the hull until all parts received.

Got to have puddening and siezings, right? It's fiddly but well worth it. well done. I still reckon that the supplied anchor rope looks way too dark. Might I suggest that you try bleaching it? (overnight, neat bleach). Schnellboots on back burner

i agree the anchor rope is way to dark. i was thinking about bleaching then soaking in a waterd down paint to ad a tint “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

Cheers, the puddening and seizing was very fiddly but looks better with it. Redone the cannon, idea from Jase. Looks ok but again very fiddly. Purchased 0.8mm thread from Miskin models, eyes from garden wire. andylangtree attached the following image(s):

Salutations for attempting the securing rope over the barrel *claps* Most fiddly indeed! I salute your skill with the string! My only critique (and its only a small one) would be that the rope is all of the same thickness and looks slightly out of scale with the cannon - it also looks a little 'floaty'. Have you considered painting the rope down with either some thinned varish before probing it into shape, giving the illusion of weight? (This will also reduce the wooliness of the twine by dampening down most of the stray fibers Schnellboots on back burner

Launch planked, i did not use the planks supplied but some i had left over from another build that went badly wrong, hate cameras cause they make everything look really bad. The gaps should not really show when painted. andylangtree attached the following image(s):

Launch now painted and despite how the launch looked in previous post no filler was added, the sanding sealer covered the small gaps. The paint job is not brilliant but i struggle with the painting, i have watered down the paint and applied 4 coats of white and its not too bad. andylangtree attached the following image(s):
