Hello everyone
I'm sorry but I need help again, this time I need to know if any knows how to remove pencil marks from the middle aft deck eraser not cutting it, I was trying to simulate planking on the deck parts 6a with a pencil but not happy with the way the lines are coming out using a pencil,also would anyone have a better way to draw the simulated deck lines besides a pencil and what kind of matte varnish is good to use to protect the finish once I have the simulated planking done thank you

Nothing but good ol' rubbing down with glass paper I'm afraid. The planks are 2mm so I fine paper and some patients will get there eventually.
Did you mean the middle deck though. Not much will be showing except around the entry port.

would you know what is a good brand of matte clear is good
for covering the deck to protect the simulated decking

As I said, the middle deck won't be showing once all he planking is complete apart from around the entry doors.

Ronald I have no idea what brands are available in the USA but it does not really matter which brand as Matt varnish is much the same from one brand to the next.

No. This is the upper gun deck. As you can see there is limited access to the middle deck. However, if you are implementing the cutout that may be different. I don't know what can be seen then but I thought that was planked separately. Perhaps Tom can say.

sorry I'm confused I thought it was the top deck that you could see the lower deck that had the columns supporting
the top deck I must have the victory's decks confused

You wont see anything of the lower gun deck (where the simulated planks are drawn) unless you shine a torch through the entrances. The cutout has its own planked deck so if this was the way you were going to be building then no worries there either. Steve

I thought the big opening in the middle on the top deck where the launches and life boats
are tied down on you are able to view the middle deck but never mind

No, it is only the centre section of the upper gun deck that can be seen.

sorry for the late reply but I understand now what you meant by not
seeing to much of the simulated deck but I already ordered replacement
parts to redo the middle deck, by the way did you know that they charge
replacement parts but not if they are missing from the pack

Hi Ronald when your planking run a black permanent marker lightly but enough to cover Along the edges and ends of the planking ,when you sand it down it will leave a nice look of Caulking, I used this method on all my planking,check out my build .. Good luck cheers benny

thanks Benny for the advise It's at c/s discretion, but on the whole it's being abused hence the clamp down on sending free parts which are not missing or damaged.
