Looks to be a good start Daran and great skill in shaving down the rear sides of the two bulkheads to make it all fit as one. I should think it was less than easy to get at the lower cylinders on that radial engine with everything fitted inside the engine bay if you needed to change a spark plug in a hurry?!
Very nice mate, gonna be a good 'un - well done!!

Woah, there's a lot of bits there to keep you busy By the look of things it's going to be a very involved build but looking like you're off to a really good start

So continuing with the engine bay I have fitted the intake pipes to the cylinders and started on the firewall. The engine bay floor is now glued in place and everything lines up really well. Some more pipes to add to the engine and then I can prime and paint it. Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Thanks for looking in and your comments. I have fitted the exhaust manifolds to the engine, primer and paint next. The hull is slightly wider than a tamiya kit, so I made up some engine bay side walls from plasti card to over come this and everything is now a snug fit and also looks a lot better. Everything is a dry fit for now, for ease of painting and also to allow for adjustment if needed, and for when I start the drivers compartment as the fire wall has parts to be fitted. I made up the engine bay deck to check for clearance and it goes on easily. Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Fantastic job on the engine bay - looks great. How much will be visible on the final build? Are you going to have the access doors open? Graeme

The detailing on the engine is stunning , even with the added palsticard to get a perfect fit it still looks like it's all part of the build rather than a mod you've done to get a perfect fit. Great job

Hello everyone and thanks for looking in and your comments. I will leave panels and access hatches so they can be opened Graeme, always seems a shame to add all the detail and then lock it away.

Thank you for looking in Alan and your comment. I have made up the front transmission wall and the gearbox and also the driveshaft tunnel. The new floor and walls have been done and I have dry fitted everything to make sure it all lines up and the length of the compartment is correct. I am pleased to say it all went rather well!!
