Hereabove bulkheads, beams and swivel-gun.

Amati swivel-gun with rectified handle (AL's one is suitable for a galleon not for a 18th century frigate). Blackened with an acidic brass blackener.

Looks like I'm going to have buy new swivel guns for mine now, also I might go with some carronades for the upperdeck.BigGrin

Hi Matelot!

Jotika/Caldercraft makes good looking British carronades. See Cornwall Model Boats site, Caldercraft Fittings, weaponry, carronade barrels.

Matelot: In the Age of Sail, name given to the guy who shared your hammock (one for two men). Pierre, c'est mon matelot, Peter is my matelot. Etymology: old Dutch mattenoot, same meaning. Today: ordinary or able seaman on a merchant ship or a warship.BigGrin

Alain, Thank you for that, I have got bits from Cornwall models before, also the Model dockyard, which has much the same stuff.

Last comment on artillery.

The long guns supplied by AL correspond to 4 pounders. The 9 pounders of the gun deck are much longer.

Up: AL's gun
Down: 4 pounder, 9 pounder and shots.

Forecastle beams and knees.

Main riding-bitt and train tackle ringbolts.

From stem to waist:

Upper deck. Manger bulkhead and bowsprit step, riding-bitts, fore hatch.
Forecastle. Foremast partners, gratings, Brodie stove chimney

Alain, The attention to detail is amazing. When finished, it should be worthy to be on display in the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich!
