BigGrin Hi again Spencer, just noticed that whilst I was writing my last post you stuck another picture up and mentioned that you are thinking of doing your own stencils, so that answers one of my questions in the last post!! Blushing Are you aware of the replacement decal set I also mentioned in my last post?? Laugh

Hi Kev

Yes I am aware as I put the link to the Decals in my very first post lolFlapper
I have ordered 2 sets of these and the tail decals too. I'm using one of the noses to experiment at the moment.. and a tip for everyone out there... wash your hands and keep them clean from all grease.. inc Chocolate!!! this will remove the silver paint from your model if exposed for a long time. maybe some lint free gloves are in order when handling these parts. Kev.. the silver spray I use is a near on perfect match to what is already on the kit so any mistakes are easily corrected.. well.. for some lol. Carbon Fibre Decals are Studio 27 and 1/12th used with decal softner...

Hi,is that the 1/12th carbon ? you are on about in your post. I was talking to model works last week and asking them about doing this and they said, they would not recommend using 1/12, but looking at yours it looks pretty good. is it a water slide decal ?

Hi Glenn

It is the Studio27 in 1/12th and the part number if they still do it is... ST27-FP0004 Carbon Decal A

I think it looks fine too and no problems with scale etc..

Hi Spencer, that all looks well you would think it came like that, well done keep up the good work. I have ordered my carbon from grandprixmodels.com. The guy there was very helpful i have ordered two types one plain weave for the wings and a twill weave for the suspension all 1/12th scale. Any way i hope mine turns out as well as yours

Hi, been watching the build with great intrest and really like the carbon fiber look. How hard is to apply the carbon fiber decals? Is there step by step guide anywhere that could give us a hand in trying to achieve the carbon fiber look or an idiots guide? Or would you reccomend to leave well alone?

Really looking good and some good advice.
Where the hell can I get some sheet from. It's either out of stock or only available from the States.
Been searching for days....maybe you have started a panic buy for these sheets

Stu

I hope tp be able to do a step by step application for these decals but trying how to word it so it,s understandable!! Soon as I'm happy with my wording i'll post it on the forums under a new thread.

Skid

Have you tried Hiroboy.com? Even though sold out they should be able to get some in on order... Hiroboy.com

Thanks Warthog that would be great. I'll leave starting the model until i see how easy/hard it is. Wouldn't want to ruin the car after paying all that cash for it!!

Looking good Warthog, I know it's cheeky but have you had chance to look at the idiots guide to the carbon decals as I'm itching to start my build. Just got to see how easy/difficult the decals are before I decide on the type of build.
