Can anyone tell me where I can get a set of the following without getting ripped off on postage.

Fightertown decals
http://www.fightertownde...search=Best+of+the+best

$22 from the USA but postage $10 - $20 that's would make it around $40. Mad to much I think for decals, I've looked around the UK shops but everyone is sold out.

Aires
http://www.hobbylinc.com...cessory-1:48-scale-4132

Same as above get them from the USA, but out of stock in the UK.

I'm hoping to get these for my next project, wanting to do a F14a from Top Gun film.

I've got

F-14a from Hasegawa
PE set from DreamModels
Probes from Master
M61 Vulcan from Master
Super detail kit from Verlinden this shows off the avionics bay
Cockpit displays from eduard

All obvious UK sources seem sold out, might be worthwhile asking Hannants when these are expected to return to stock?

Thanks guys.

Hannants Mad I swore I'd never buy from them again, had very bad customer service from them.

So eBay will have to do, just hope they don't get lost in the post, again bad experience.

I stopped using hannants a few years back as a result of an attack on their systems that caused me a major banking issue - tony never forgives.

Your ebay issue though i would argue because if you use paypal you are bomb proof. If it does not arrive you raise a claim and its instant money back.

Ebay gets a bad reputation but when you consider how many companies now use it as a shop front i am a major user - not least because i pick up nectar points. Very rare that i have had any issues and the odd time i have i have never been out of pocket as a result.

I would not sell through them though because the one tome i did the buyer claimed non receipt and i was out if pocket.

Hope you manage to get what you need.

It took me 2 months to get a refund from Hannants on an item they sent me saying it was new but when I get it it was open and missing bits.

Had to get the bank involved to get the refund even thou I had proof of sending and the Royal Mail website showed the parcel as delivered 2 days after I sent it.

As for eBay, yes I always use PayPal like you say it covers us. It was just a couple of instances where I've ordered items from China and they never turn up. Then you have to wait for them to reply and if they don't agree you have to get paypal to sort it out.

Anyway it will be eBay at some point.

Hope it turns out ok for you. I know how frustrating it can be trying to get those difficult to obtain parts.
