Hi guys.
Now my subscription problem has been sorted (thanks admin), i want to get prepared for the build. In Tomick's build diary, he recommends the use of a build board. Does anyone know what size to use?

Also i have most hand tools that i thinki am going to need, but are there any specialist tools needed? I'm thinking here about the metal parts supplied.

Any help greatfully received.BigGrin

My board was 45" long 8" wide.

No specialist tools required other than basic modelling tools, you will receive a small file for the metal parts in pack 1.

Just to let you know, I bought a cheap pine shelf kit and a set of angle brackets from Lidl, total cost around £6. The shelf is about 3ft x 6in.
Hope that helps..

Just be mindful that the shelf is perfectly flat and not warped as pine on occasion tends to be, otherwise your hull will follow the warp.

I have received the firdt build instructions but as yet no parts. On the 22 month build, how many parts do we get with each delivery? The instructions for part one cover the hull, bridge and range finder. Do all these parts come with the first delivery?Drool

One would asume that the first batch of instructions ties up with the parts that are on their way.

Confused Ummm.Opened the packaging to find one of the compartments(?) has a piece missing. but for the life of me i cannot see what!!!

The right hand side compartment next to the hull frames is empty and looks to have been cut open. Should there have been a tube of adhesive or something?

If anyone can help solve this mystery, it would be greatly appreciated

Rgds

No panic, no parts missing from the blister; a glue item was removed from the pack which was unsuitable for UK supply Wink
