Sounds very inappropriate to me but does show the depths people will go to in the name of making a profit.

Makes you think of some of the worlds other inhuman and sad history and if that might be turned into some sort if tourist operation.
Happy Modelling

I don't know...I'm conflicted on the inappropriateness of this endeavor. I mean, I can see why it could be viewed as inappropriate, but is it really any different than a museum/memorial dedicated to a famous battle-site? There are plenty of those that charge visitors fees. Or what about the folks who recreate famous US Civil War battles?

Is it time? I could see that as a reason, however, in this case, the last living survivor died 7 years ago, and she was just a baby, and thus would have no memories of the event.

I'm definitely not saying it shouldn't be considered inappropriate, but I am saying I can see both sides of the argument.
If at first you don't succeed,

maybe you should skip the chainsaw juggling...

I think it is a great idea, how often do you get to see something of this scale?

As for inappropriate, I can see where people are coming from, but how many of the small scale replicas that we build have ended in tragedy? The Titanic sunk as the result of an accident, unlike the twin towers where people were murdered in the name of terrorism.

Now that would be inappropriate!

The only thing I would like to see different is that it could have been built in the original ship yard! Now that would be something really special!
You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
