Hi Guys,
Did anyone watch the programme on the Yamato that was shown on the History channel? Admittedly it was on at 6am so i can understand if anyone missed it. Must have been a repeat anyway for it to be on at that time.

Anyway, it was very interesting as they talked to people who actually served on the ship and survived the sinking. After being rescued they were kept in secret at a Japanese base to keep the sinking from the public.

They also sent down a manned submersible team to try to find the wreck, and also to explain why it sank so quickly. Thet were able to identify the Yamoto by the 2 metre 'chrysanthemum' emblem on the bow.

If it is shown again i recommend to try to catch it, as it adds a bit of history to the build.
