I am nearing completion of my SoS build and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to hang the flags so that they look more natural like they were fluttering in the breeze. I finished the Victory build and am not happy with the way the flags hang as they look like stiff boards.

Hi Aurelius the way I did my flags was to paint them with diluted PVA and fold them into the shape you want and hold them with some small clamps until dry . Just make sure the PVA is diluted to at least 50 percent Hope this helps rgd Martyn Building ? Completed. Soliei Royal . Sovereign of the Seas . Virginia . Scotland . San Felipe . The nature of double sided self adhesive silk flags does allow to create a wave within the flag rather than just leaving them flat.
For a more realistic flag, you can use a cloth print transfer paper. The idea is to print a mirror image of the flag onto the paper then transfer it to a piece of light weight cotton cloth using a hot iron.

Thanks Tomick and Martyn. I will experiment with a piece of off-cut and do as you suggest Aurelius

I see the original query was posted under build discussions. Sorry for the repetition. Must be one of those senior moments.
