Hello all and a Happy New Year. Well I finally plucked up the courage to release Trumpeters 1/200 HMS Hood from the box and to be honest it's a little bit daunting! This is probably going to be the most challenging model I have ever built but also looking forward to constructing it. I'm waiting for some paint to arrive, hopefully by Tuesday, then I can make a start. I've used a tenner as perspective, change left over from its purchase, so you can see its true scale. Regards to all Alan ALW attached the following image(s):

Found a bit of time this afternoon so decided to make an earlier than planned start. Photo shows strengtheners in place ( I'm assuming that's what they are called)! Alan ALW attached the following image(s):

Hi all
Nothing much to report except construction is finally underway.
Had some issues with purchasing paints on-line and its taken weeks to resolve. That said, paint is now with me and I have started preparing the hull for painting.
Photos to follow ASAP.
Cheers
Alan
