Nice work on the weathering, just enough to give that well used look but not overdone.

Thanks everyone, you all have done a great job. I have been putting off doing the weathering incase it all went pair shaped.

It's all good looking at photos of weathering but until i actually saw for myself I knew I could do it.

I have the Sphereo BB8 and the other week I bought the Force Band (half price at Argos) when I opened the box and saw that it already weathered (that used look) that's what inspired me to say I can do this weathering.

Just simple silver paint on the edges creates the whole effect.

If you have a Sphereo BB8 you need to a force band, it's not just for controlling BB8. You get a weaponry section with blasters and lightsabers, YouTube it.

Recieved issue's 13 to 16. With it being a nice day I sat outside to assembly the parts.

Slowly coming together and couldn't resist jumping the gun to see how other parts would look like on dome.

Love the subtle weathering you are using on the blue parts of R2 Darren. Not under done and not over the top. Looks great BigGrin By your excitement I see you are enjoying this build a lot. Good luck with it and look froward to seeing more progress.Laugh

Thanks Ron for your kind comment.

I just can't wait to have my own R2D2 roaming around the house ☺️

Just got of the phone to customer support, due to an admin error early on I missed a month's issue.

So I recieved 13 to 16 last week, they are sending me 17 to 20 (as an additional shipment), then my normal shipment of 21 to 24 towards the end of June. Hopefully if everything goes well I should be back on track.

Fingers crossed πŸ˜€

Not much has happened since my last post, things did not go to plan regards catching up on issue's. They lost my direct debit details again 😠

Got issues 17-20,so a bit of painting and weathering.
