Thanks BigGrin

Stage 11 - I don't think we'll ever stop building these front brake units.

We receive the exact same parts as in the previous stage, but for the other side and build up the right front upright as we did the left. No pictures, you've all seen this.

Afterwards we begin fixing air guides...

...and fins...

... to both uprights

I also baked a moroccan style bread while building this stage. It was pretty tasty.

Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

Stage 12: Are we still building front brakes? We totally are.

We receive the brake discs. All four of them actually. These look really nice. Quite heavy too, because they are actually metal. Very well done.

We first superglue the brake hubs to the discs...

... then stick the assembly on the axles on the front uprights and add the diffusers left over from stages 10 and 11.

A short sweet and easy stage. Next time we get things rolling.

Stage 13 - Building the brake.... oh wait no, Fitting the front wheels and tyres

So something different this time, alrighty.

We receive four halves of spacers to be mounted on the front wheels. Now I don't know if it was storage or transport, but one of these sets developed a rather different curvature than the other over time. Didn't influence the build too much though.

We seperate each set of halves from each other.

The superglue them to the wheels by letting the glue run through a hole and a groove underneath the spacers. The little "arms" on top ensure that the spacers sit correctly.

Here you see a bit of super glue escaping due to the curvature of this set being not quite perfect. Isn't visible in the end result though, so that's good.

Last, the arms are cut off the spacers and the tyres slipped onto the wheels, which is remarkably easy. Then we do exactly the same for the other tyre and wheel.

Next time, we build more Vodafone advertisements.

I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!

...said the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. Should have gotten a better car or at least some spoilers maybe.

So we're going to build some.

Stage 14 - Assembling the rear wing

We receive the upper and lower rear wing, the middle stay and the camera. The camera goes into storage.

As usual we begin by very very carefully removing the red paint from all contact points. Not easy this one, because the area is tiny.

Then all three parts are glued together, set in place with some masking tape and left for a day to bond.

And that's it for this stage. Next time we upgrade a rabbit.

Turns out rabbits are incompatible with ABS glue, back to the drawing board.

Stage 15 - Assembling the rear wing base.

We receive the rear wing base itself, two stays and two fins.

We begin scraping off colour at the contact points again. Need to be extra careful in the area where the fins are going to be placed (on the right of the photo).

Similarly the black paint on the fins and stays is removed where necessary.

Then it's just the simple matter of glueing all the parts in place and we're done again. While the glue was drying I put the rear wing assembly on top of the stays to ensure they are positioned correctly.

I too loved this kit.
It's great to see another one coming together.

If, later on you have problems with fitting the upper bodywork, there are several fixes and solutions in other builds including mine.
It isn't any big deal - just a little heads-up.

Roy.

Good to know, Roy, I'll keep it in mind. So far I've gotta say things fit extraordinarily well.
