I saw that no one was coated with carbon the caissons of the radiators, in reality, are coated with a textured carbon fiber end, I checked the model of the McLaren MP4 / 4 scale 1/12 Model Factory Hiro, and the black parts of the radiators are carbon fiber

Hi Maurizio,
I made those clamps from 50 micron thick steel shim stock. I cut a strip 4.5mm wide and drilled 3 or 4 holes ( I think it was 3mm diameter ). The drilling is tricky in thin sheet so I clamped the piece between thin wood pieces, marked it out and drilled. I then rolled it around a rod to get the size and when satisfied with that I sprayed with Tamiya metallic red, lightly to get the effect I wanted.BigGrin

I hope that this info helps. Looks like your build is coming along nicely.

Malc.

To make the 3 holes is possible to use this tools?

@ frah2o, yes that's an idea to use a hole punch like the one you show. Put the piece to be punched on a hard wood ( or Aluminium ) surface and you should get a clean cut. With such a thin plate there may be some distortion. I suggest that you experiment. Maybe try a strong adhesive tape over the part and punch through the two. BigGrin Malc.

I used a hole punch like you've shown in post #45 above. Choose the same size as the hole in the plastic part. This is illustrated in post #65 in my build diary. Use a wooden block to support the mesh.
I hope that's of help.BigGrin

Some advances until the next exit, evidence of the mounting box cooler with micro screws, and holes for inserting bolts photo engraved, the box will be coated with carbon.
