Hi everyone  I have subscribed to build your own R2D2 so hopefully I will be receiving my first issues shortly! I can't wait to start the project and intend on keeping a diary and hopefully make some new pals along the way too. I grew up in the 80's and I'm a Star Wars fan with R2D2 being my favourite character so thanks De Agostini for this opportunity to build my very own R2 Cheers, Sean

Sean Hope you get a lot of pleasure from your R2D2 build. It looks like a very popular model and with all of the various ideas people have been posting for this one there are going to be some interesting builds i am sure. Happy Modelling

Today my first 2 issues arrived The quality of the parts look great and I look forward to this project! I understand that I will now receive 4 issues at a time so does anyone know when I will receive the next issues? I will start my build when I have my next set of issues as it will keep me busy for a little while and I should at least have something noticeable to show lol

Good to see you've got your first set of parts Sean. The your first two deliveries will contain 2 issues then it's 4 issues 4 weekly thereafter

Took delivery of issue 3 & 4 this morning and the print is absolutely fine in them so I'm guessing they have that issue sorted out now!  I'm totally loaded with the Flu and feel terrible so sadly I won't be starting R2 today :(
