A bunch of pics from the 2008 Shanghai gran prix, me and my brother won tickets for 4 day trip to Shanghai which included the gran prix. Admittedly they are pretty poor as my camera at the time was basic with poor zoom and shutter speed but hey here they are. Im the podgy one on the right, seats were good at the end of the pit straight. The noise of these machines is astounding, we were waiting before the start and a renault was the first out of the pits to go past and its truly deafening, gets right between your ears like a piercing alarm.

Im no wimp and love loud noises like military jets on afterburners etc. I thought i could handle it and didnt use the supplied earplugs at first but by about lap 30 i could take no more and had to put them in to save my brain from the sound. Acceleration in the flesh is astounding too, you can actually see the surge through each gear.













Oh and real Chinese food is disgusting.
