PACK 4

Stage 17

Contents: Air Outlet Louvre, Air Outlet Louvre Grille, Towing Cable, Screws, Treads, Pins.

Place the grille into the recess in the air outlet louvre. Holding the grille in place, turn the louvre over and place it on the rear of the hull. Turn the hull over and insert a screw into each of the end holes, carefully tighten the screws in place.

Retrieve your assembled track together with your latest treads and pins. Align this stage’s treads and pass the pins through the holes. You now have a segment of five tracks. Position the track section on its side and lightly hammer the pins into the treads, until they are flush with them.

Connect the new segment of track with your existing one and pass a pin through the aligned holes. First check that the pin’s path is clear then turn the track on its side and hammer the pin into place. Place the remaining pin into the last segment for safe keeping.

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any remaining parts in a Stage labelled bag.

Stage 19

Contents: Air Inlet Louvres, Air Inlet Grilles, Small Air Inlet Grille, Air Inlet Grille Plates, Screws, Treads, Pins.

Following the process detailed in previous stages, fit the five treads received with this stage to the rest of the track.

Take one of the air inlet grilles and place it into the recess on the right of the hull, at the rear. Place one of the louvres over the grille, inserting the posts on the underside into the holes in the hull.

Turn the hull over and insert a screw into each of the four holes, tighten the screws to secure the louvre to the hull. Repeat the process to fit the second grille and louvre to the left side of the hull.

Place the small air inlet grille over the raised rectangular area on the right-hand side of the hull, behind the turret next to the fourth external fuel tank. Align the holes at the sides of the grille with those in the hull and then place the posts on the underside of the two plates into the holes. Make sure the colours of the plates (khaki and sand) match the colours on the hull. Tighten a screw into each of the two holes in the underside of the hull, fixing the plate in place.

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any unused parts in a stage labelled back.

Align the posts on the underside of the engine access panel with those in the hull. Lower the engine access panel onto the hull, turn the hull over and insert a screw in each of the three holes. Tighten the three screws into place to secure the panel.

Stage 21

Contents: Turret Ring Gear, Screws.

Retrieve the turret base from stage 7, hold the ring gear over the base aligning the corresponding holes of both parts. Insert a screw into each of four holes in the ring gear then tighten the four screws.

Retrieve your assembled track section and the loose treads and pins. Follow the steps detailed in previous stages to assemble the treads. You can either create another section of track or fit the treads onto the existing section.

Make sure that the holes are always clear and aligned before inserting pins through them. If you have two sections of track, engage the ends of both and insert a pin through the aligned holes. Place the track on its side and gently hammer the pins into the treads.

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any unused parts in a stage labelled bag.

Half tighten the screw into the hole. Don’t force any of the parts because the circuit board is fragile. Place the second screw into the hole at the other end of the board, carefully half tighten the second screw into the hole. When both screws are in place carefully tighten them fully.

Retrieve your assembled track, pins and loose treads. Engage the treads and insert a pin through the aligned holes. Hammer the pins into the treads. Connect together any track sections you have into one piece.

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any unused parts in a stage labelled bag.
