Hi All Shipbuilders I started my build diary on the South African Forum on the the attached link. http://forum.model-space...aspx?g=posts&t=1803
As this is the correct place I am going to continue here. After waiting for the problem with part 31 to be resolved the build was delayed but after receiving the elusive part I have finished but to Issue 26 so I think it is time to update my diary with some pictures. Being the first time I have attempted to build a wooden ship I think the results so far is reasonable. There has been some head scratching and alterations to ribs which were either not faired enough or over faired plus some other adjustments to correct errors.

Hi Atholm, Your build is looking good. The gunports are very nicely done. I am only a little bit ahead of you. I have done a dozen rows of the lower planking. I havent found it too difficult so far. If you just take your time and think a little it isnt too bad. I posted a couple of planking tips on here yesterday which might be useful to you. They are here. http://forum.model-space...aspx?g=posts&t=2449
Hope they help. Keep posting the pictures. And look forward to seeing how your build progresses. Thanks Jim

Hi to All Time goes so quickly when you are having fun, I see almost 2 months has pass since my late update. As can be seen I have not followed the build program as per the magazines as I did not want to do repairs to the top hull planks. I have planked the whole lower hull and done the first hull sanding of the hull. I have sanded the hull up to the lower gun deck and will complete after lining all the gun ports and finish the top of the hull planking. I know have not followed all the planking rules but I will be painting the model. I have finished 2 rows of the time consuming job of lining the gun ports only 4 more to go. The photos show what I have done in the last 2 months.
