Hi, i'm just collecting the issues when come home.

I'm deciding dor interior trim color.

I'm watching the Hoonigan Unicorn color of Ken Block. I like the Monster green.

I'll wait all the trim and dashboard to decide the color.

At the moment i take the measure of tailpipe. I would fit a larger tailpipe.

I removed the chrome trim from the seat and from the door panel. These trim will be coloured.

I'll also color the chrome window trim in gloss black. I don't love to much chrome and doesn't match with my custom project

Hi Dave, the chrome bits are so easy to remove and replace in my opinion. Just take care to don't break them or lose them.

In this week i continued with project.

I removed the lock nut form door, I sanded it. I primered the door and I painted it in matt black, then i replaced the lock.

I stripped the chrome from some bits.

The door handles and the mirror arm will be gloss black. The mirror cup will be in red.

I painted some door trim. The lower trim is in gloss black. The central trim is in gloss black, i try to paint the raised edge in red.
The frame will be in red.

Looking good. Almost makes me wish I wasn't doing my museum display so I could do some mods like this to mine.

DeAgostini kit builds:

Millennium Falcon: 18% Complete
Shelby GT-500: 28% Complete
Thunderbird 2: 13.75% Complete

Thanks Metal Mech. Your display work is really cool. The best thing is to collect 2 model: one original and one customized, but it will be really expensive.

So, yesterday i start to fit the first modify parts and i stripped out the chrome from the window.

Today i hope to finish the first door.

Nice, red is always a good color choice to go along with black.

Thanks to much Metal.

So i shared with you the end result of first door.

After removed the masking tape, i polished the "glass" with tamiya compound to remove tape glue.

I placed the new red trim and before to fit on door i give a little detasil to interior door lock.

I'm quite satisfied for final result, but the best view will be when all interior will be completed.

Now i'll wait the final parts for second door.

Looks sharp. How hard is it to use the glass waxing stuff? Been contemplating getting some and trying it out.

Hi Metal, i follow some topic in other modeller forum. Hi know the for glass (i think acetate) the right compound is the Fine.

There's 3 step tamiya compound to use for paint, but for glass is the finest.

I hope to explain right. Blushing

Looking good. You planning to run a red stripe on the outside body work?

Fantastic finish on the door. The seat looks great too, the red trim on both really looks good.
