Great to see you`ve started your R2 diary. For your pics to show and not be downloads, you need to edit them to a pixel width of 640 - 660 pixels. Hope this helps. Happy building Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

so thankfully worked out adding pics etc, here is my build so far. nothing really dramatic, i dont feel skilled enough to weather my artoo (wish i did, some of the guys here look awesome already!) so it will just be a straight build. the only difference is that i am using some low strength thread lock on most of the screws as the last thing i want to happen is something comes undone whilst artoo is rolling around the house. i also used some bearing retaining compound on the bearing in issue 5 as i didnt want it to rotate within the housing. building will be slow as i prefer to do large chunks at a time and spend a little while on things, so i have chosen to do 2 deliveries (8 issues) at a time. so my next update will be around 8 weeks time semaj attached the following image(s): Building: Ghostbusters Ecto-1, Ford GT40, Gone in 60 seconds Eleanor mustang, Shelby Cobra Complete: R2D2, Red Bull RB7 RC, Battleship Bismarck, Shelby GT500 'super snake'

issue 10-13 arrived this morning. not a mega amount of work, but i did enjoy doing it. we have continuation of the head dome, a bit more framework for the leg which is just test fitted at this stage, assembly of the camera 'artoos eye' lens and attaching it in place also a neat little stand to support the head through assembly. enjoy the piccies semaj attached the following image(s): Building: Ghostbusters Ecto-1, Ford GT40, Gone in 60 seconds Eleanor mustang, Shelby Cobra Complete: R2D2, Red Bull RB7 RC, Battleship Bismarck, Shelby GT500 'super snake'

I am guessing that is a support stand to allow work to be done on the head assembly? That is a well thought out and good inclusion in the kit. All of the parts are going together really well. Hope it continues well for you. Happy Modelling

it seems so yes, and the magazine alludes to it just being a temporary stand. its got some weight to it and a 3rd tier of framework yet to be added along with 2 more metal rings.
