So first one. Gaskets. I've used some very thin 0.5mm material to act as the gasket. This was cut to size Then the edge coloured with a pen Once in position and secured with a little glue, I cut out the middle. The finished item My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 - Current Build - Below Decks - https://forum.model-spac...sts&m=339187#339187 -

Ian Very interested to see your take on this one. The gasket idea looks really good indeed. Happy Modelling

Nice idea to post the possible mods for the Jag. If I may be so bold, could I suggest a different method for the gaskets.(Note: I`ve not tested this, just a thought) Many years ago when I used to do my own car maintainance, I used Red Hermatite, a non setting sealer for gaskets. This has now become Hylotyte Red, link below. It comes in this case with a thin nozzle aplicator. Hylotite RedRegards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Received my air values today. Just to see how they would look, once I fit them they will need a hole drilled into the rim so they can sit a little be closer. Those tire valves are a nice detail; I'd be interested in getting them for my build; are those available from Shapeways?

Got my valves late last week. I ordered the most expensive type, hoping for the most detail and least prep time, and I wasn't disappointed. I was surprised on the large box they came in, compared to the actual size of what I had ordered - so don't be too quick on throwing out the packaging, you may find out you have thrown out everything by mistake! Going to be away from my normal modelling space for a while, but hope for some good weather when I get back after next weekend to spray these puppies up. I plan on masking the dust cap ends to preserve the plastic, using some normal steel/metal for the main body of the valve, and using some chrome lacquer for the ring to tie it into the wheel itself. I'll post some pictures of before and after when I have them done. All depends on what I think as I build it I have read that you may be able to build the wheels in this model. If this is something you would take on I have one wheel that needs assembly that I don't seem able to complete, obviously I would be happy to pay for your time. Tony
