I contacted customer services about the tiny lost part, my own fault by the way, and they immediately offered to re-issue the magazine. It arrived today and the lost part is now fitted. This is excellent customer service, well done DeAgostini.

It is a very small component and liable to fly off at a random angle from conventional tweezers. I happen to have a pair of long handled curved "Spencer Wells" artery forceps. You could get them from fishing tackle shops at one time and .they are available from Amazon. They turned out to be ideal for this "operation".
The forceps clamp the small part so it cannot fly off. They are designed to clamp blood vessels without damage, so should not damage small parts. The long handles are "springy" so you don't over clamp things. Sorry if this sounds like an advert, but for £5-6 its worth adding to your tool box.

Issues 18 - 21 finally arrived, for some reason they were about a week later than expected, but no matter. First task was to complete the assembly of the second door. Its a repeat of the first door and i have not posted a picture.

The only assembly required for issues 19 & 20 is to fit the upper and lower wishbones to one side of the frame. Pretty straight forward with no problems.

Issue 21 contains the other side of the frame; Nothing to assemble until issue 22 arrives when I get the other 2 wishbones. (Hopefully they will arrive in 3 weeks)

Looking forward to completing the frame and mounting the engine.

Questions unrelated to someone’s diary build should be posted into the Jaguar general discussion topic. For wheel matters see the topic below.
