Hi,

A number "moons" ago now my hubby was assigned to the USAF learning how to fly the A10 Thunderbolt, he was there for 10 months and then the MOD cancelled the program and he was reassigned to what was back then referred to as the Euro fighter, but I always remember him talking none stop about the Thunderbolt, there was just something about that that plane that he loved, I bet if he saw those pictures of them just gathering rust in the desert it would break his heart,

May.

The A10 is one of my fav aircraft. Have fond memory of seeing a couple lurking across the north yorks moors in a menacing manner, which was just ahead of them being withdrawn from the UK..they used to fly out of RAF Woodbridge and Alconbury.
