A year to the day since I started building this model. A fantastic model
of a great ship but it is testing to say the least.

I have found working with PE parts quite difficult especially the microscopic parts.

However it is worth it becasue the look is good I think.

Currently I'm only just over a third of the way through only a thousand
parts to goBigGrin

Thanks Phil

I'm encouraged by your suggestion of taking it slowly with the etch.

I always feel the need to rush but there really isn't!

She's really coming along very nicely indeed.... As Phil says, take your time and work at your own speed, its not a race its a journey..... Certainly if you carry on the way you are doing then you'll end up with a beautiful model you can display with pride......Cool Cool Well done....

Thanks Alan, thanks jase.

I was anxious about using photo etch parts but because there is so much of it, and it is fiddly, I have gained a lot of confidence and its not as bad as I initially thought.
It's definitely about taking your time and making sure you have a safety
net to catch the parts that ping out of your hand onto the floor!

That said it is looking good and hopefully now won't be too much longer to
completion.

Regards

Alan

Hello all

I'm making good progress now and the end is in sight.

I've attached some photos of the build. I've replaced the main
guns with the aftermarket kit.

Cool Cool Cool Cool

Just don`t rush it now that the end is in sight.
