That engine work is beautiful. It’s worthy of being display just by itself.

I've got everything ready for the decal addition. Air intake and rear wing are a dry fit at this stage. Bit nervous of the horizontal colour stripes down the body as they have to align with decal on the nose.

Made on start on the front end decals.
The tyre logo decals in this MFH kit are the "dry" type ( I'm told ). So you have a mirror image on the underside of paper which has to be positioned correctly ( which you can't see !! ) and then rubbed on.
Didn't like it at all so I bought a template and sprayed the marking.

IT'S FINISHED !!!!
very pleased with the end result and I'd certainly recommend this kit. Not the most easy of models to build but very interesting. I learnt a lot of new things along the way. It makes a great addition to my Mclaren collection.

It's interesting to compare the 1972 M19 with the 2016 MP4/31 which I recently built ( Ebbro kit ).
I know which car I'd rather see race .....
