While waiting for that new wind shield to arrive I finished off most of the bits and pieces that hang off the back of this DFV. The polished pipes and other small parts are bagged-up and waiting !BigGrin

Got the engine attached to the body. Quite a difficult job to get the power unit aligned and at the correct length for the rivets to locate in the body. Had to do some metal removalBigGrin

Lovely work as always Malc, really looking like a classic race car now! I'm really enjoying your build diary Malc and look forward to each new update from you. Drool Drool

Although expensive for the scale, I am so inspired by your model that at some point this year I fully intend to take the plunge and buy a MFH 1:20 kit for myself! Cool ThumpUp

Thanks for that compliment Malc, very much appreciated. I don't expect to buy a kit until later in the year but who knows it may be a bit sooner! Wink ThumpUp

Thanks for the encouraging comments.BigGrin

I've now added the hosing to the engine. This is the MFH metallic hose which is solid white metal with a mesh pattern embossed. A bit like rolling a solder wire on a rough file ( which I've done in the past ! ). First time I've used it.
Cut to length and drill 0.5mm in each end to take a fixing rod. A bit tricky !!

A little more done... The wheels are very nice turned parts. I roughed up the tyre treads for a better look.

Got the rear end pretty much completed. Exhaust pipes added. This has to be done when everything else is in place otherwise the plumbing would be impossible.BigGrin
