Hi All

One of our subscribers has sent us through a photo from the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009. The models on sale in the photo look to be the MP4-22A (as manufactured by Amalgam). This was the first prototype De Agostini worked on before McLaren commissioned the MP4-23 2008 World Championship Winning Car. There will be some slight differences in the model when compared to our “Build your Own McLaren” MP4-23, as it is a different model, but the scale (1:8) and the high level of quality will be very similar

Admin is right, these are the Amalgam 1/8 McLarens, which retail at just under £3000!

if you go to Amalgam's website there is a hi-resolution gallery which you can download the images from.

I'd say Amalgam's finish is a bit better to DeA's but on the other hand there is far more detail in DeA's McLaren.

A question for Admin - Have you thought about talking to Red Bull re a partwork?!

Cheers
Andrew

Karl

Have a look here - http://finemodelcars.com...claren_mp423_monaco.php

It's the Monaco version, they didn't do a British GP version.

Cheers

Why is it that these models can have the "Jonnie Walker" logo on the rear fin uprights, but DeAgostini cannot, surley if the law says that its not allowed to "advertise" alcohol, then that should apply to all.

Because you won't see these in the newsagents and seen by the general public?!?

What has always got me though is that a sport that was banned from advertising Tobacco seen by a few million adults but its ok to have cigarettes in plain view on Corry seen by adults and children!!!

Strange old country we live in aye lol
