Thanks for your comments guys, appreciate your feedback Well after some more thought i decided to change my mind about building the road wheels. I decided that they were easy enough to dis-assemble for painting, and all told it might be wiser to follow the instructions....and this is where i learnt my first lesson on this build 'always read the instructions thoroughly before commencing' Yep thought i knew what i was doing so merrily built one set of wheels...then thought 'this can't be right i don't have enough of a certain type! So re-read the instructions and noticed the sequence arrows!!! So had to (luckily just) unscrew them all and follow the sequence indicated by the arrows . Everything went together just fine after that Anyway as you can see from the photos, one side complete. Lesson learned CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):

Hi guys Well, first of all i must say how much i admire all of you who work on small scale models! Having had trials and tribulations on the latest part of my build due to the small size of nuts, bolts etc, i can only amaze at how you all build such quality small scale models Anyways, here is my latest update. I have decided to skip the part where the wheels and tracks are installed until after i have decided on the painting. the axles proved to be challanging insomuch as the springs and nuts kept pinging off that is until i glued the nuts in place then i had a little production line going and i was plain sailing after that. Must say how much i am enjoying this build so far. As i said i haven't built a plastic model for over 40 years, but boy is this hobby becoming addictive here are some photos of my progress so far, and a teaser for the next update. i hope you enjoy viewing as much as i enjoyed building! hi all, Here is my latest update.... I have not glued the exhaust cowl yet as they will be a pain to paint...with my new Badger 200 Airbrush set, purchased through this site Can't wait to have a go at airbrushing Learning in leaps and bounds here, although i didn't just buy it for this model, but thought it would come in handy on my Spitfire build. Hi all, Here is another update. I have loose fitted all the tools and towrope because i think they will be easier to paint before gluing. but i have a question. Having never used photo etch do you paint the body first or fit and paint over? regards Gray CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):

Hi there, you can just glue the photoetch to the body and then paint everything.remember to use some steel wool to lightly scuff the photoetched to make the paint stick better.you will need to use superglue to attach the metal to the plastic so it is easier to glue everything and then paint or you will risk marring your paint finish with the superglue.

Excellent job so far Gray i would leave all the tools, spare track links, ropes, off the tank and paint seperate and has Carl says scuff up the rear side off the etch before gluing before superb work regards Phil COMING SOON =1/72 Italeri diorama`s Battle for the Reichstag and Stalingrad battle at the tractor factory 1/16 Trumpeter King Tiger with loads of extras ON THE GO= refurbishment of 1/25 Tamiya tiger 1 , amt Star trek kits and space 1999 models
