Hi Dave If you look at my build diary page 3, post #50 onward you can see how I did mine:- http://forum.model-space...osts&t=2756&p=3
Did the kit come with some triangular balsa as this is used to act as a filler between the planks and the armour strip. Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Had to undo some of the hard work I'd spent doing over the weekend as I'd used the wrong stakes. That will teach me to read the instructions properly Andy point out there should be some triangular stakes witch I found after I'd just about finished one side of the boat. Any way after undoing it all I've manage to put in right now, see picture's. Dave 71 attached the following image(s):

And very nicely done Dave. Its not easy having to take apart something you have already put together but if you had not mentioned it you would never have guessed. Credit to you on the planking because you have managed a very nice looking hull in a very fast time. Happy Modelling

Thank,s Tony ,be leave you me it wasn't easy to put it right but I daresay I won't be the first or the last to make a mistake and there'll probably be more mistake to come but if there,s one thing I have learnt it,s to ( read the instructions properly.)

All the planking is now done on the side of the Hull. So now concentrating on some of the metal work starting with the base.will post some picture,s when there's some thing done .
|
|

Hi Dave Glad your progressing well, Just a word of warning on the metal parts the sides are not square on the base so assemble on a flat surface with epoxy and then use car filler on the top surface to get a good flat base for the rest of the superstructure to sit on. Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
