Hi everyone, I share with you the start of the adventure of the Valentino Rossi's Yamaha M1 2016. This collection is edited by DeA in Italy.
I will build 2 bikes, one mine and one as gift for my brother. We are both huge Valentino's fans

The first release contains the front cowling. I bought 2 more cowling to make experiments. The inside is completely crisp and painted lightly and you can see the printed lines.

First of all, I have to smooth the cowling internally, paint it in black, cover with carbon decals and finally paint it with the gloss coat

I bought the Japanese magazine Riding Sport for reference photos.

Once the carbon came, I started working on the cowlings.

I watersanded with abrasive paper 600.

I covered the livery and finally gave the black background before to place the carbon decals

With the masking tape I reproduced the templates for carbon decals.
I cut the decals and placed them on both front cowlings.

With the arrival of the second pack, the other components of the bike are come.
The original front discs are really ugly and require new color work and the creation of chromed rivets.

The cowling glass is good, the only detail is to try to reproduce the internal bolts that fasten the glass.

The front tire is huge, measuring almost 6 inches. On the shoulder is the script "transport only".
DeAgostini has decalred that the real bike used to reproduce this model is the presentation bike for the 2016 championship.

The 1/4 model has some differences with the bike used in the championship races.

The last parts received in this shipment are tank cowling.

The front tank cover lacks Valentino's cartoon bike sticker.

The back cover of the tank lacks the black protective band and lacks Valentino's Japanese writing sticker

For the moment, it's all up to the next updates

I self made the tank cushion, and i balck painted the inside of tank cover.
Now I'm still waiting the next issue with the second front disc brake to start repaint both.
