PLANKING THE SIDES Hi Team, I am now halfway up the port side The sides are proving to be easier than the Hull. On reading the instructions, they say make sure the Gun Ports are enlarged to 10mm square, I am glad I read this before I planked over them, because it is much easier cutting out the ply. the Gun Ports are pre-cut at 8mm square. HI Mike, love the look of that mahogony. I presume that it is to be clear varnished or are you going to oil it? Both ways it will really look fantastic. I love the colour of natural wood. Rgds, Hans

Hi, really nice looking build.
My friend is building this too and would like to know what you are planning to do with sealing the decks and hull. (He says there is nothing in the instructions).
Will you be varnishing or oiling, and if possible could you let me know exactly what materials you are planning to use please?
