Hello, I have just stumbled on this forum thru the discovery of the Model Space online store. I am a long time model builder of both plastic and wood kits. I started building static period ship kits in 2005. Before that time I built mostly R/C ships. Electric, gas, and steam powered. I have built 4 ships. Amati's J class Rainbow (I think that's its name). Art L's 1776 Independance, Art L;s Swift, G.K. Modellbau;s 1910 Pilot in 1/75th and am currently buildin Amati's 1492 Pinta. I am too the masting and rigging on the Pinta. I am in the hunt for something larger to build next. The search is how I found you all. I look forward to getting to know and learn from the crew here. Thank you Derek, Its a bit of a kitbash, I have taken liberties based on the loss of the plan set after a move. I am not that concerned as to the fact that I have seen so many different examples of this ship. It has been a fun little build.
