Well here they are at last, both completed on time although as always it was tight!
There are a lot of photos below so I hope you can see them all. The first set is of the basic paper and card Kartonowa Kolekcja model designed by Pawel Mistewicz, built out of the book with only the Lewis Gun as a resin upgrade (as suggested in the instruction book itself)
The second set is my own 'multi-media' build with a host of scratch built resin components, brass tubing for the struts and aluminium sheeting for the cowlings. This has been a very rewarding build for me, using a brand new media in the Paper and Card construction and also a crash course in resin casting, both forms of modelling I can heartily recommend to all, the kits are so much cheaper than their plastic counterparts and making your own resin parts can save many pounds. I'll definitely be doing more of these in the future (preferably ones with the same engines and wheels!)
I would also like to thank the many members who visited the build in progress for their wonderful positive comments over the last twelve months.
The final photo illustrates what 'might have been' if I'd had the time to add a finished base to the schedule, but never mind, the pair of pups made it!
Happy Modelling to you All!
Robin. (NOw can I start playing Napoleon Total War again!)
