Ref the colour choice, actually as Im in a wheelchair I asked my wife to pop into Halfords and choose an off white and so she chose Rover Arum White.

I used a light grey primer with the white over. Then to improve the gloss I used Mr Hobby super clear 2 coats.

When it was dry after 2 days I polished with Micromesh and then Tamiya compound and polish. The result is just what I wanted, all Ive got to do now is to match the rest of the body when the parts arrive.

Hi Tony,
Looks like you're having fun and know where you are going with your build. Good to see the colour change, and look forward to seeing your build progress. Will you be posting pics of the two Jags side by side when finished?

Regards
Gray

Very brave doing the colour change, but looks great. Re. screws, agree there could be a lot less but there may be a difference between those that tap into metal vs those that tap into plastic - I have found a number of both that bottomed out before tightening properly.
Do you agree that the wheel attachment method is a bit disappointing and flimsy? It would be better if they had used something like the actual mechanism on a model that costs this much?

Cheers,

Steve

Hello-chaps

With regard to the pics, you bet. However it will be a long time before I get them both finished if ever. I have tried to get more parts but am stuck on 50 A’s is the formal build on this forum.

With regard to the wheel fixing they should have replicated the splined shaft as per the real car. Also I have used a tap to ream the holes to improve the fitting. As with all modelling you need to build a second so as to correct the faults in the first.

Hello there.
Your picture isn't showing and clicking on it tells me I can't view the image.

Try posting it in a much smaller size - under 140kb

I’m not having much luck with reducing the picture size. I’ve been trying to use my iPad but no success yet

Hi , Monty dog. I'm not too sure about the ipad but I've been told that if you "share" the image ( as taken in hi-res ) to your own email address then the image that arrives has been reduced in pixel size. Not sure by how much but maybe give it a go ..
Good luck. Malc.

Further progress following a long lay-off. The change of colour I find very pleasing although I would like to hear any comments.

Looks like a nice colour there.
Just wondering though - is the door a different shade, or is it just the picture...?

Nothing in your last post...

Your pics are just way too big - literally by almost 20 x

Anything over around 140kb won't show.
You need to put your pics in a picture editing program - there are lots of free ones - and re-size them down to about 20%, maybe less.
They will then show.

Looks great in the cream and the pics show a nice finish to your paintwork.

Can just get a glimpse of your interior colour. What are you using and are you using the DeAg leather seats? - I am not!

Your build is looking great but for your pictures to appear in you posts you need to resize them. The link below will explain how to do this.
